Wicklow’s business networking group, East Wicklow Business Network (EWBN), will hold a Business Breakfast Briefing at the GRID, where Táiniste Simon Harris will be in attendance.
The event marked the group’s first Business Breakfast Briefing since the summer break.

Simon Harris will discuss local and national issues facing businesses and Government intevention is supporting the growth of businesses and the creation of jobs.
Louse Gaskin, incoming EWBN Chairperson
Louise Gaskin, representing the EWBN committee as incoming chairperson, will outline some of the key things she is actively involved in to help members of the group over the past 12 months, which has included numerous media interactions, business social evenings and helping to build a framework of workshops designed to help local businesses develop and grow.
Vibeke Delahunt, Wicklow Local Enterprise Office
Having been part of the Economic Development Team of Wicklow County Council since 1999, and Head of Enterprise since 2019, Vibeke has a wealth of experience, and leads a team that are available to support your business.
Vibeke will discuss soft supports that are available to local businesses, how the LEO can assist with reducing overhead costs, lowering carbon footprint, and embracing new digital technology.
Auto-enrolment, Moneycube.ie - The 3 months countdown begins…are you ready?
The CEO and board of the Governments auto-enrolment pension scheme was announced last month. With only 3 months to go before auto-enrolment comes into force (1st January 2026).
This will impact 800,000 employees with their take home pay reducing as a result. It is also a payroll cost that businesses cannot avoid. The EWBN recognises that many businesses may not be prepared for this and do not understand there are alternatives. The EWBN will have an expert on pensions explain the impact of auto-enrolment and how businesses should prepare themselves and their employees, or what they can do as an alternative if they act fast.
Digital Marketing through AI Workshop
Attendees will also have the exclusive opportunity to register for a new workshop offered to members, AI Digital Marketing. In partnership with the KWETB this event will take place in October and spaces are limited.
